These chicken and lime kebabs are super scrumptious, with a lovely tangy twist.
Ready in under 30 minutes, they are perfect snack or starter.
Makes 10-12 | Preparation Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients Required:
- 500g Chicken Mince
- 1 Onion (Medium)
- Juice of 1 Lime
- 1 Egg (Medium, Free Range)
- 1/2 Cup Gram Flour (or Plain Flour)
- 1 tablespoon Ginger
- 1 tablespoon Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Flakes
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 2 tablespoons Coriander (chopped)
Method:
- Chop/process/grate the onion into a large bowl.
- Grate/process the garlic and ginger, and add to the onion.
- Add the chicken mince, lime juice, egg, salt, chilli flakes, honey and coriander to the bowl.
- Sift in the gram flour, and combine the ingredients well (by hand or using a large spoon).
- Shape the kebabs by rolling the kebab meat into a large ball in the palms of your hands (ensure that your hands are wet so the kebabs don’t stick). Press the balls to form flat round kebabs.
- Place the kebabs in hot oil in a frying pan, or place on an oiled baking tray/foil if you are going to bake/grill the kebabs.
- Turn the kebabs a few times until golden brown on each side and thoroughly cooked.
Serve with a mint yoghurt sauce and enjoy 🙂
