Gorgeous, flavourful recipe for fried chicken niblets which is quick and easy to make.
Serves 4 | Preparation Time: 5 minutes | Cooking Time: 15 minutes (plus time for marinating)
Ingredients:
- 1 kg Chicken Niblets
- 2 Medium Eggs
- 1/2 cup Gram Flour
- 1/2 cup Plain Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Coarse Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Flakes
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
- Juice from 1 Lemon
- 1 cup Water
Method:
- Add the flours, salt, spices, eggs and lemon juice to a large mixing bowl and mix until well combined.
- Add the water and mix until the mixture is a smooth batter.
- Add the chicken niblets to the bowl and coat well with the batter.
- Cover with clingfilm and leave in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (ideally overnight).
- Deep fry the chicken niblets in hot oil, turning once or twice until chicken niblets are a golden brown colour.
